These Service Terms apply when you book and purchase a TrueFootprint property-measurement service. By checking the Service Terms box and continuing to payment, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.
1. Measurement service
TrueFootprint will measure the accessible exterior building footprint, calculate the measured area, compare it with the applicable county record, and prepare the documentation package described on the booking page. The standard visit is exterior-only and is generally completed in one day. Interior layouts, appraisals, land surveys, architectural plans, permit determinations, title opinions, and legal or tax advice are not included.
2. Price, payment, and scheduling
The service fee is based on the building-size category selected during booking and is due in full through the secure checkout. Your requested measurement date is a preference and is subject to confirmation and reasonable rescheduling for access, safety, weather, or operational conditions.
3. 10 square foot guarantee
We’ll identify at least 10 additional square feet compared with the current county record—or you receive a full refund.
Our guarantee applies to the measurement result—not county approval or property value. If our completed measurement does not document at least 10 additional square feet versus the applicable county record, we refund 100% of your service fee. County acceptance of the corrected square footage and any resulting increase in market value are not guaranteed.
4. County review and property value
The County Assessor independently decides whether to accept, reject, investigate, or request additional information regarding any correction request. TrueFootprint does not control that decision and does not guarantee approval, a particular recorded square footage, a change in taxes, or any increase in appraised or market value.
5. Property access and customer responsibilities
You represent that you are the property owner or an authorized representative. You authorize TrueFootprint and its measurement personnel to enter the exterior areas of the property for the scheduled service. You are responsible for providing accurate property information, obtaining any required tenant or occupant permission, unlocking gates, supplying access instructions, identifying known hazards, and securing dogs or other animals. Areas that cannot be safely or lawfully accessed may limit or delay the measurement.
6. Measurement limitations
Measurements and calculations are based on conditions that are visible and accessible during the visit and on the county record applicable to the property at the time of comparison. The service does not determine property boundaries, ownership, code compliance, permitting status, or the condition or legality of concealed or inaccessible improvements.
7. Customer submission and use
The completed package is prepared for the property owner to submit to the applicable county office. You are responsible for deciding whether to submit it and for responding to any later county requests. A correction may affect taxes, insurance, lending, permitting, disclosures, or other property matters; consult the appropriate professional before submission when needed.
8. Electronic acceptance and terms version
Your checked consent and continuation to payment constitute your electronic acceptance of these Service Terms. TrueFootprint records the acceptance date and the version accepted with the order. If these terms change later, the version recorded when you submitted your order will continue to apply to that order.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by California law. Any dispute concerning the service or these terms will be handled in a court of competent jurisdiction in California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
